Shilpa Shetty and Richard Gere Kiss

Shilpa Shetty who suddenly came into the limelight and stormed the London and Indian markets after her Big Brother victory, is in news again. But this time it’s negative publicity. But as they say in Bollywood, any kind of publicity is always good.

From talking about India’s vastness and diversity to highlighting the increasing problem of HIV/AIDS in India, a cause that she is closely associated with, Shilpa Shetty has done it all.

However this time, the actress may receive less of bouquets for talking about HIV/AIDS, and get more brickbats for being kissed by Hollywood actor and AIDS activists Richard Gere.

At a function, held as a part of the ongoing Seena Taan Ke campaign by the Truckers Corporation of India Foundation (India’s largest surface transport organisation) to reduce unsafe sexual practices among the trucking community, Gere hugged and kissed Shilpa during the event Delhi on Sunday.

The act by Gere and Shilpa hasn’t gone down well with most of the Indian audience, and they demand an apology from both the actors.

Also present on the show was Bollywood actor Sunny Deol, who joined hands with Gere and Shilpa to instill in truckers a sense of pride in their work, raise their self-esteem and encouraged them to adopt healthy behaviour. But due to Shilpa and Gere’s kissing antics, Sunny Deol went totally unnoticed. Seems these are bad days for Sunny. Neither did his movie Big Brother get him the fame that Shilpa’s television Big Brother got. And now Shilpa has again stole the show from him

By the pictures above it appears that Richard Gere totally lost control after seeing Shilpa’s beauty. And ironically he was present at the HIV/AIDS campaign there to tell truck drivers how to keep their control. Funny eh , a man who has no control over his desires imparting knowledge on how to control one’s desires.
